Service Description
Our professional home evaluation goes beyond appearances. We take a detailed look at the environment where your loved one lives to identify risks that often go unnoticed until it’s too late. During this in-person assessment, we evaluate: • Safety risks such as fall hazards, poor lighting, and cluttered walkways. • Mobility challenges including stairs, flooring, and bathroom accessibility. • Health and wellness concerns such as hoarding tendencies, unsafe storage, or improper setup of medical equipment. You’ll receive a clear, actionable report with recommendations to improve safety and support independence at home. Why it matters: Most accidents that lead to hospital visits (like falls) happen at home. A single overlooked hazard can result in major setbacks. This assessment helps families prevent emergencies, extend safe living at home, and make confident decisions about modifications or future care needs.
Our Booking Policy
*Service Description* The In-Home Wellness Assessment includes a ~2-hour professional visit to evaluate the home for safety risks, mobility hazards, and wellness concerns. A written report with recommendations will be provided within 5 business days. *Pricing & Payment* Payment is due at booking. Travel fees may apply for locations outside our standard 50 mile radius of 28078. *Cancellations & Rescheduling* Appointments may be rescheduled or canceled up to 24 hours in advance without penalty. Less than 24 hours’ notice may result in a $50 fee. Missed appointments without notice are non-refundable. *Scope & Limitations* This is an advisory assessment only; Open Arms does not provide repairs, modifications, or medical care. Recommendations are informational, and implementation is the client’s responsibility. The assessment identifies visible risks at the time of the visit but cannot guarantee all hazards will be found. Open Arms is not liable for accidents, injuries, or damages occurring after the visit. If additional services are requested, a follow-up consultation will be required and may incur additional fees. *Confidentiality Statement for Consultation Bookings* We respect and prioritize the privacy and confidentiality of our clients.
